A close documentary portrait. I filmed a childhood friend, a young woman living with alcoholism, in the small rural village where I grew up. Being from that place, and knowing her, let me stay close: the film is less about the subject than about the bond between a person and the landscape that made her. Quiet, patient, shot mostly at her pace.
